    Summary:

    Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important.  The Customer Services Manager will manage service contracts and purchase orders from conception through executions on many small to large projects at once, including safety oversight, estimating approval, quality adherence, etc. Develop and grow customer relationships and strive for the exceptional customer experience.

     

    Looking for an innovative leader that will be focused on the wind and/or heavy lift industry. Whether it be main component exchanges, turbine retrofits, or troubleshooting an inoperable turbine,

    we work with asset owners and turbine OEM’s on strategies to support their service initiatives. Additionally, we develop internal strategies to differentiate Mortenson and provide solutions to our customers in the service industry.

     

    Responsibilities

    What will you be doing?

    • Assist with the financial outlook, safety, environmental impact, risk, schedule, and quality areas of the operations and maintenance of service contracts, including monitoring Key Performance Indicators associated with the contracts.
    • Preparation of estimates and review all proposals to secure new contracts
    • Monitor Key Performance Indicators associated with the contracts
    • Maintain, establish, and grow key customer relationships
    • Conduct customer and site visits as needed to establish appropriate strategies and ensure expectations are being met. 
    • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance

     

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience Requirements:

     

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related wind service and/or heavy lift industries
    • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of customer leadership experience
    • Minimum three years experience in related customer service field
    • Willingness to travel up to 50%
    • Effective communication and active listening skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
    • High level of creativity to grow the business
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Great amount of creativity and ability to inspire others to grow the business
    • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks
    • Interpersonal effectiveness to model and set the tone for exceptional customer relations
    • Positive and professional attitude

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
    • Graduate degree in Business Administration preferred
