    Mortenson’s Minneapolis office is seeking a smart, fun, energetic, and creative individual to fill the role of Marketing Coordinator. You will join our marketing and business development team and be responsible for executing a variety of tasks including proposals, presentations, internal and external communications, and social media efforts for the operating group. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, meet tight deadlines, be flexible, and work independently.


    • Design and prepare proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for new business
    • Ensure various aspects of proposals (technical scope, project experience, resumes, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
    • Assemble, design, and write marketing and communications collateral, including newsletters, special event materials, electronic and print mailings, project signage, and brochures
    • Manage and coordinate website and social media content for corporate LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts
    • Video production and post production editing
    • Prepare and upload content for company intranet site
    • Participate/collaborate in overall strategy development and implementation in all marketing materials
    • Initiate and lead internal proposal kick-off meetings
    • Maintain personnel/project data, files and systems in company database and network files
    • Assist in event planning for projects and company-related events
    • Interpret messaging and technical information through compelling graphics
    • Collaborate with team to improve boilerplate text and make continual improvements to the pursuit process



    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
    • Solid writing and editing skills (grammar, spelling, proofing, conciseness, etc.)
    • Excellent creative, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible as needed
    • Strong design foundation and understanding of the principles of typography and layout
    • Ability to listen and formulate ideas into strategy and key messages
    • Detail orientated and able to organize and prioritize multiple assignments within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Adaptive, effective communication and interpersonal skills with those of diverse organizational levels and backgrounds
    • Resourcefulness; self-starter; proactive solution seeker based on information and judgment; professional; positive attitude; and a good sense of humor



    Education/Years of Experience

      • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field
      • Minimum two years’ experience in marketing
      • Minimum two years’ experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry preferred
