    The Associate Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to M. A. Mortenson Company and related entities. 


    • Develop and maintain standard financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
    • Assume primary responsibility for producing monthly SG&A reports for every segment of the business.
    • Assist with designing, developing and maintaining budget templates to capture, consolidate and model financial data.
    • Extract data and reports from various systems for use in periodic reporting.
    • Review and reconcile accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
    • Provide annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and ad-hoc analytical support for assigned Business Service Groups.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries for intra-group cost & time allocations.
    • Assume primary responsibility for monthly business service group expense moves.
    • Apply technical skills to improve operational efficiencies.
    • Create ad-hoc financial reporting, modeling, and analyses as requested.
    • Document processes and procedures for inclusion in desk procedure manuals.



    Education and Required Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in applicable field
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment.
    • Advanced Excel skills, VBA and SQL skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive data and situations professionally, with discretion and confidentiality.
    • Basic knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
    • Well organized and strong attention to detail.
    • Oracle Financials/Projects experience a plus.
