    Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Integrated Construction Manager with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.  The Senior Integrated Construction Manager is responsible for providing input and leadership to the integrated construction and virtual design and construction process. 


    • Active member in staffing/operations meetings with defined VDC agenda
    • Report to Operating Group Leaders/Director of Operations ongoing VDC staffing/scheduling status/needs for operating group projects
    • Lead in development VDC portion of business plan (Interface with Company Director of VDC)
    • Collaborate with fields Director of Operations/Field Operations Manager/ Superintendents to develop VDC Integration process & assure VDC project profile develops
    • Provides VDC leadership to the Operating Group Leaders on:
      • Business Development
      • Team/Talent Development
      • Project Operations
    • Present at internal Operating Group functions on VDC processes-group meetings
    • Communication on VDC status/Customer interface/ metrics
    • Develop/Plan/schedule/implement and track training for Operating Group team members
    • Public VDC Champion/ Spokesperson for Operating Group
      • Lead for IDAT/active Committee participation or chair
      • Involvement in other company initiatives- Design Phase, Quality, Safety, Lean etc.
      • Research and Develop new VDC processes
      • Lead point person for Director of VDC


    Required Skills:


    • A minimum of 10 years of progressively more challenging commercial construction management experience or equivalent combining education and experience.
    • Licensure in professional field is preferred
    • Excellent management and leadership skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong understanding of construction processes
    • Knowledge of construction and A/E contract language
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
    • Demonstrated basic understanding of A/E business and client’s business interest
    • High level of competency with advanced software. (2D and 3D AutoCAD minimum
    • High level of competency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu
    • Proficiency with Autodesk Architectural Desktop (ADT), Autodesk Building Systems (ABS), Autodesk Revit or Graphisoft Constructor preferred
    • Proficiency with Autodesk BIM 360 Field and Glue, 3DS Max, Civil 3D, Point Layout, Faro Scene, Google Earth Pro, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
    • Primavera, and 3DS Max or Viz.
    • Familiarity with the following workflows and solutions is preferred but not required; game engine technologies (Unity, Unreal, Lumion 3D), Parametric Analysis solutions (Dynamo, Grasshopper, Solibri), basic key frame animation, 2D/3D rendering capabilities, 2D/3D post production capabilities
    • Animation experience is a plus
    • Experienced in facilitating meetings and training events
    • Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of the construction costs and financial risks
    • Experience managing teams, people, and processes
    • Knowledge of construction and A/E contract language
    • Current driver’s license




    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, engineering, architecture, or computer aided design
