We are looking to hiring three interns into the organization in the following three areas of HR:

Benefits/Total Rewards Intern
The Benefits/Total Rewards Intern will provide administrative support to the Benefits and Total Rewards teams. This person is responsible for tasks associated with the administration of Mortenson’s competitive benefits package and total rewards initiatives. The Benefits/Total Rewards Intern is a key member of the success of the Benefits/Total Rewards teams. Highlights of this internship will include:

• Assist with benefit payroll reconciliations
        o 401(k)
        o HSA
• Assist with corporate wellness program
        o Coordinate processing of wellness incentives
• Assist with Benefits team communications
        o Draft and edit communications and post to company intranet site
• Provide general administration of benefit programs
• Assist with other tasks as assigned including reporting, compensation processing, etc.

Human Resources (Generalist) Intern

The Human Resources (Generalist) Intern will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Generalist team. Highlights of this internship will include:

• Provide initial research and background information for upcoming or proposed team projects and initiatives
• Research state laws and updates, assist with necessary actions to communicate updates
• Conduct exit interviews and compile quarterly data
• Identify and review existing job descriptions for both professional and trade positions and transfer them to a new format; assist with the development of career paths within business service or operating groups
• Assist with additional projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned



Talent Acquisition (College) Intern

 The Talent Acquisition (College) Intern will provide administrative support to the College Recruiting program. This position is responsible for tasks associated with the college recruitment process and supports the team throughout the summer and following school year. Highlights of this internship will include:

• Partner with the college recruiting team to generate ideas, leverage resources, and share information that facilitates an effective search process
• Schedule career fairs, information sessions, and interviews at college campuses and recruiting conventions
• Assist in coordination of display and career fair material logistics
• Develop and post positions in the applicant tracking system and college websites
• Assist in the creation of college marketing collateral
• Maintain applicant files, including copying, scanning and tracking applicant records
• Assist in preparation of offer letters and new hire packets for intern and entry level new hires
• Analyze and assist with program and school research as needed
• Deliver on-going superior customer service to team members, candidates, managers and the HR team
• Assist with the coordination of interview events, including social events, project tours, lodging, transportation, catering, and interview schedules and materials
• Attend and assist in preparing meetings with HR team, recruiters, and company leadership
• Assist in coordination of training for college recruiting teams and internship mentoring program
• Assist with additional projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned




Required qualifications for each position:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Business or related field. Must be currently enrolled.
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

• Ability to work part-time (20 hours / week) during school year
• Previous internship experience
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Effective communication and active listening skills
• Strong research, data analysis and proofreading ability
• Proven positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines and high quality work
