Summary:

To supervise and direct all planning and scheduling activities of work project through application of diversified controls, systems, principles, and practices.

Responsibilities

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

 

Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities:

  1. Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
  2. Ensure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply

Other duties as assigned:

  1. Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, et al.
  2. Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

 

Lead team members by example in:

  1. Resourcefulness
  2. Self-starting work habits
  3. Problem solving based on information and sound judgment

Proven track record of including diverse team members when assigning challenging and high-profile tasks

Qualifications

  1. Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  2. Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  3. Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  4. Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  5. Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  6. Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies

KEY SKILL PREFERENCES

  1. Last Planner experience preferred
  2. Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
  3. Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  4. Adaptive, effective communication and active listening skills
  5. Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Minimum seven years construction scheduling or equivalent experience
  3. Professional Engineer registration or advanced degree desired
