Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Field Services Manager with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Field Services Manager will provide leadership, expectations, coaching, and development to technicians. Responsible for verifying technician work is being executed as expected according to Mortenson Energy Services vision, mission, and strategy.


  • Supervises and provides skills development to a team of assigned Field Service Technicians
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Environmental for service, warranty, customer, and special projects
  • Responsible for monitoring and approving work time
  • Provides technical support to site personnel as needed
  • Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of Field Technicians


  • Effective communication and active listening skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
  • Experience in interviewing and hiring preferred
  • Strong time management and self-motivational skills
  • Exemplary customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with a widely-spread staff
  • Working knowledge of engineering procedures, processes, and drawings
  • This is a site based position in McCamey, Texas
  • Current driver's license
  • Experience in solar power generation
  • Minimum of 5 years' power generation experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Graduate degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred
